DAY 2

Today was a great day! We did a lot of stuff at school with the kids. Let me tell you... I am being trained to be an English teacher here in Spain, and I am learning from the English specialist, this is how they call the teacher here who teacher English at Primary School. He teaches English to all classes in school. Well.. normally there are a few teachers in charge of several classes, but in this case there's just one teacher in charge of the whole school. So he teacher 8 different classes.

Today we had no break until lunch time. It was bit hard but since it was fun, I can't even think of complaining. :)

Today this teacher did some storytelling. It was so much fun!!! He put so much enthusiasm and emphasis into his words, that the lesson was just incredible! I learned a lot!!! The story he told was Winnie the Witch. It was so much fun! I am definitely going to buy that book in order to use it in my future classes with my students. I totally recommend the book, especially for Halloween. We used it in 3rd grade today. I have looked it up in the Internet and I have seen that there a lot of books of Winnie the Witch, there's a complete series.

After telling the story, the teacher let his students watch a DVD of the story and then we sang some songs. I think it was a really good way to work on the story. The DVD is also totally recommendable. I just found a link to the complete video on Youtube. Here you are, it is fantastic !
