DAY 1

Today was my first day of school. I knew it was going to be OK because this is not the first time that I am a teacher trainee, but I was nervous anyway.

 Some weeks ago I went to school to get to know the teacher I am going to work with and I really felt like we were going to work very well together. He is a very nice person, very caring, very open minded and very helpful. Today was great because the teacher asked me if I had any needs or questions and explaid every little detail to me. He even told me that if it was too much explaining, I should tell him and he'd stop, but I said noooo!!! I love that he tells me every little thing without having to ask him. He is such a great help!!!

The kids were so nice, too. You know, I am in Barcelona and they have two local languages here, Catalan and Spanish. The kids know that I am German and that I speak English, but they think I don't speak too much Spanish or Catalan. This is very good since they try to communicate with me all the time, mostly in English. I think it's a really fun way to do it, since I am improving my English by speaking in English all the time (with the students and with the teacher). 

I felt very happy today when the kids saw me on the street after school and they said goodbye to me in English. I felt so happy and motivated and inspired. And that's when I knew I had chosen the correct studies, Primary School teacher with the specialization in English.
