Time for storytelling

Last week I had to do some storytelling in my English didactics class at university. So I chose one of the Angelina Ballerina books. I love the book and everyone in class loved it, too.

So, how did I tell it? I didn't know what to do first. I wanted everyone in the classroom to be able to see the powerful images of Angelina Ballerina and her little cousin Henry at the fair, so I decided to scan all the most important pictures in the book and I made a powerpoint presentation. Then I added some music (merry go round music, haunted house music, the sounds of roller coasters...) to create a fair atmosphere. Everyone loved it and they enjoyed it a lot, which made me very very happy, since it was my first try. I left the book on the table next to me and used it only to present the story to the audience. I think I will do it like this the following times I tell a story in the classroom since the creating of the atmosphere made the audience understand the story better.

Here's my favorite part in the story !

And here you have an example of the haunted house music i was talking about:

Hope this helped you and let me know if you have questions or suggestions. Thanks !
